Eating May Trigger Your Appetite, Revision 8/3/2009, Chapter 4

Keep in mind that if you eat anything on diet day, it could trigger your appetite and cause you to start eating before snack time. If you get really hungry on diet-day, hold out as long as you can and stay busy. Usually the hunger will pass after a while. If necessary, have a cup of soup in the afternoon and try to hold out the rest of the day without eating. Also, if you cannot hold out until the next morning because of your habitual appetite, have light snacks such as a green salad or vegetables and cheese. Your late night snack may include boiled eggs and nuts instead of junk food. In every case, try to keep the calorie count low and use protein based food for snacks.

Skip A Day Diet Introducing

The Skip A Day Diet was developed so that dieters would have a way to deliberately target and burn their stored body fat. The concept is simple. The dieter should eat a full healthy meal one day to provide the body with the nourishment it needs. The next day, the dieter should skip regular meals and select high, good quality protein foods for light meals and snacks. Protein forces the body to draw on stored fat and use it for energy. With this approach, the dieter will always be only twenty-four hours from a full, healthy meal when dieting every other day. To learn more, read the first blog posting: Tuesday, July 21, 2009

CHAPTER ONE, Revision 7/21/2009

Introducing the Skip A Day Diet

The Skip A Day Diet was developed so that dieters would have a way to deliberately target and burn their stored body fat. The concept is simple. The dieter should eat a full healthy meal one day to provide the body with the nourishment it needs. The next day, the dieter should skip regular meals and select high, good quality protein foods for light meals and snacks. Protein forces the body to draw on stored fat and use it for energy. With this approach, the dieter will always be only twenty-four hours from a full, healthy meal when dieting every other day.

The diet allows you to consume your full nutritional allowance the first day and eat very little the second day. People, who have a recommended dietary allowance of 2,400 calories per day, may consume 1800 calories on eat-day and 600 calories of high protein snacks on diet-day. This will give them 1,200 calories per day for the two-day period. High protein snacks can consist of eggs, milk, fish, nuts, and poultry.

The main thing that allows the diet to work is appetite control and eat day volume. Also, when you follow the instructions and get a good night’s sleep after a day of eating, your appetite will disappear (for the most part) until the next day. Also, you will be able to adjust your meal times so that they are close to your rest time. This will help cut out snacking.

Here is how the diet forces the body to give up its stored fat. The first night of the two-day cycle, your body will process the food you ate that day and store the nutrients in its twenty-hour reserve. The next day your body will distribute the nutrients you consumed the day before. The second night, your body will draw on your stored fat and bring your reserve energy level back up to full. This way you will be deliberately targeting and burning stored body fat, which will lead to a permanent weight loss.

This approach allows you to diet one day at a time and lose weight. Anyone can try the diet for a few days by taking the test. By taking the diet test first, a would-be dieter can determine if the diet will work before spending too much time on it. The Skip A Day Diet is not expensive to use. With this diet, you can use ordinary food until you reach your target weight.

Also, dieting will get much easier after you get started. Then it takes only a few weeks to overcome the physical and mental challenges that come with losing weight. That is no big obstacle because if others can use this diet to lose weight, you can do it too.

The best thing about the diet is that it’s free. You pay nothing, and you can stay on it as long as you like. There are no special foods or supplements to buy and no restrictions on the foods you eat. If you are interested in losing weight, take the Skip A Day Diet test. Then give the diet a test drive to see if it’s right for you.
